This IS the place "where everyone knows your name".

Nice inside, good food, good atmosphere, and owner is real polite

It's called Chuboy's, now, but when you mention Phil's Nite Cub, many people repeat, "Phil's knife and gun club", and yuk it up like it was original. There are a number of stories, any or all of which may be at least partially true, owing to that name, but none of them are more recent than the 1980s. So, in defiance of stupidity, I tell people my favorite eatery in the whole area, so far, is The Knife and Gun Club.

I just moved to Dawson this summer. They tell me that the best Pizza in the area is at Bud Murphy's. Then they tell me "you gotta try JJ's" in Scottdale. Yeah, they're both great, New York style pizzas like I like best. but the most outrageously good pizza I've had in a very long time is the New York style pizza made at The Knife and Gun Club.

Bring a friend along for this because not even I could eat it alone, but they'll make you a 16" pizza and 10 wings for $20. If you don't have a friend to bring, invite me, and we'll split one.

For it's comfortable surroundings, furnishings and ,, it's nearly unparalleled view of the Yoch, the delicious, thoughtfully prepared tavern food, and for the friendly owners, staff and patrons, I can't recommend The Knife and Gun Club highly enough.

Great food, never super busy so it's a nice comfortable atmosphere.

On Fridays, they have a special on fish sammiches. That fish is like the best lent fish you ever ate. And if you're new to the area, and like to sample local craft brews, try a Helltown. Helltown Brewery is only about 8 miles north of The Knife and Gun Club, and honestly, they rival Weirbacher or any of a number of premium craft breweries.

36 dollars for a 12 pack of Bud!!!! Now who in the hell came up with price?? LOL!! So I called the next day and talked to the manager and asked how much they charge for a12 pack and the man told me 13 dollars. The night before it was a woman bartending nothing like scamming out of towners

I'm not a shy person; not especially gregarious, either, but I've never been there that I haven't been able to strike up a conversation with someone. It's friendly. It's a friendly environment. Everyone there is friendly. There are often kids in there, and it's totally cool that they are. When weather permits, they have a dog-friendly patio.

Their menu is small. It fits, in a large font, on an old-school chalk board. There ca't be more than a dozen items on the menu. I haven't tried everything yet, but I've not been disappointed by anything I have tried. I get the steak salad some times, and you should see how it's presented. It's like something you'd expect to see at some place fancy, and it's delicious. It's not fancy here. It's just comfortable...really comfortable.

The owners were very nice and friendly.
